Securing Your New Companion
Choosing a puppy from Lover Berners is an exciting step toward expanding your family with a loving, four-legged friend. We aim to make the adoption process as clear and straightforward as possible, starting with the financial aspects of securing your new companion. Here are the details on payments and deposits.
Reservation and Deposit
To ensure the seriousness and commitment of potential puppy owners, we require a non-refundable reservation deposit of $500. This deposit is your first step toward bringing home a Bernese Mountain Dog, Mini Bernedoodle, or Tiny Bernedoodle. Here’s what you need to know:
- Securing Your Choice: The deposit guarantees your pick from the current or upcoming litter based on your preferences and the order of deposits received.
- Deposit Application: This deposit is applied towards the total purchase price of your puppy.
- Payment Methods: We accept various forms of payment for the deposit, including credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer. Full details and instructions will be provided upon your initial inquiry.

Final Payment
- Payment Deadline: Final payment will be completed the day of pick up. If transportation is required payment is due at least one week before the scheduled pickup or delivery date. This allows us to ensure all paperwork and travel arrangements (if necessary) are in order.
- Accepted Payment Methods: For the final payment, we accept credit cards, bank transfers, and cash. Personal checks are accepted but must clear before the puppy can be released.
- Microchip Registration: All puppies are microchipped and must be activated before puppy leaves our home. (Cost is $35-$94.)
Additional Costs
When budgeting for your new puppy, consider additional costs that may not be included in the purchase price:
- Transportation: If you require transportation or special delivery, these costs are calculated based on the destination and the type of transport needed. We ensure all travel arrangements meet the highest standards of comfort and safety for your puppy.
- Supplies and Initial Care: You may also want to purchase initial supplies such as a crate, bedding, toys, and food.
- Health Certification and Vaccinations: All puppies leave our facility with up-to-date vaccinations and a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. There is no additional cost for this certification as it is included in the purchase price.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances can change. Here’s our policy on refunds and cancellations:
- Cancellation by Buyer: If you need to cancel your reservation after placing a deposit, please be aware that the $500 deposit is non-refundable. This policy compensates for the potential loss of opportunity to place the puppy with another family in a timely manner.
- Cancellation by Seller: In the rare event that we cannot provide the puppy you have reserved (due to health issues or other unforeseen circumstances), you will be offered the choice of another puppy from the same or next available litter, or a full refund of your deposit.
At Lover Berners, we are committed to transparency in all our transactions. Our priority is the welfare of our puppies and the satisfaction of our families. If you have any questions about our payment processes or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
